For a really long time (try: a few years!), I was a freelance investigative reporter in the cities of Duckburg and, for a short time, St. Canard as well. It was fun being a reporter in and of itself, but unfortunately I had some very grouchy bosses that didn't seem to like me very much and as such, always stuck me with the silly, mediocre and useless bits to write about. I mean, really, who the heck cares about the first dime world-famous billionaire Scrooge McDuck made?! Well, except, maybe Scrooge himself, I guess. Did you know he's given the dime its own velvet pillow in his money bin?! Last time I was there he kicked me out just for bringing my nose right up to the glass display it was behind in, trying to get a closer look. Yep! What a loon, right?!
Helloooooo Toons of Toontown!! My name is Robyn Rasmoussen! Who the heck is that, you ask? Well, let me tell you!

Heya! Robyn Rasmoussen here, again! Welcome to my first official post on Toon News... for the Amused! Well, technically, I guess the post two weeks ago was my first one, but that was just an introduction!
ANYWAY! I'm still settling in to my new life here, and there are couple of things I'm working on at the moment that are not quite ready for publishing yet. So, for this post, I want to recount something truly horrid that happened to me on my first day here: the delivery truck with all of my stuff got lost! I had a great house, but it was completely barren as a result!! I literally had no bed to sleep on, as such. I mean, just look at this!

Toons of Toontown!! Robyn Rasmoussen here once again! I have some exciting news to tell you all! So you know how almost a month ago (wow, time flies!) I introduced my new, well, news blog called Toon News... for the Amused? Since then it's just been me, by myself, writing out a few pieces, editing them, then posting them on here. It's been a rather slow process so far since there's only so much I can do on my own, what with all the unpacking I had to do, as well trying to learn the ropes of this town first. My first major project is learning how the Residence Square system works, as that caused me some confusion a few weeks back. I've spent the past couple of weeks doing research on how that system worked, and I think I've got it all figured out now, but I want to be super sure before I write about it. That post is coming soon, promise! And Robyn Rasmoussen never breaks her promises! That's a promise, too.
Despite starting off with slow, bi-weekly updates, I was met with a lot of high praises and excitement; many of you stopped by to tell me how excited and happy you were to have me here! I was seriously moved to tears of joy to know I was already making fans!
Anyway! That is NOT what I came to say today. My exciting news is that I have a new Editor-In-Chief!! Meet Fanny Pages!

As you may or not know, I'm kind of new to this town. I arrived here just last month, and so far I've been loving my stay here! There was a bit of getting used to in this town when I first got here, as should be expected of someone who uproots almost their entire life and moves to a completely different place... I mean, duh, right?! Surprisingly, there was quite a bit to take in about this town, and I'm not quite done taking it all in yet! I'm still learning the basics of fishing, the main activity around here for the most part (post on that later on!) but one thing that really puzzled me right off the bat when I first got here, that I think I got the hang of now, are Residence Squares. What the heck are these things, and how exactly do they work?

One of the very first buildings I noticed when I arrived in town was this large looming green-colored building in the Toontown Central playground. The design was very eye-catching; most of Toontown Central is colored similarly, and there was this large green building that stood out. Fascinated, I wanted to learn more. What is this exactly, and what is its function?

Last week I covered the cool-looking green-colored building in the Toontown Central playground, The Toontown Bank. Plenty of Fun Facts about the bank were covered in that post, things that until I started writing it I never would have known.
Hoping for a repeat of the same thing, this week I'm covering it's not green-colored, almost as cool-looking cousin, The Toontown Library.

Welcome to another rendition of "What Is It?", the segment where I take a location, concept, idea or item, ask what the heck it is, and explore its purpose, origins and functions in depth.
Two weeks ago I covered The Toontown Bank and last week I covered The Toontown Library.
This week we're tackling the big one: Toon Hall itself!

Aloha! Or as they say in France... Bonjour!
My name is Nathan Bananaboom. Yes, Bananaboom. I know.
My colleague Robyn Rasmoussen briefly talked about me the other day, but in case you forgot, here's a brief recap: I am what's known as a Historian. In very basic laytoon terms, my job is to research and document historical events. If any place or region is missing pieces of its past, it makes a perfect candidate for a Historian to study and fill in those gaps.
That is precisely why I moved into this region, specifically, Toontown. It's the first new town in this region in quite a while, so that alone makes it historic.
But, rather surprisingly, this region we're in has a history log gap; there aren't any historical events documented from the last several centuries, with the exception of a few texts with questionable origin and unverified validity. But even those are several centuries old already.
Most places around the world have some sort of history of some kind and Historians document even those small details. We don't discriminate.
Hence why I'm here; to fill in those historic gaps.
With all that being said, let's get to the real reason I asked Robyn to let me post today, shall we?

Greetings, Toons of Toontown. Editor-in-Chief here at Toon News...for the Amused, Fanny Pages speaking. Not many of you may know me; I am a rather private individual that enjoys keeping to myself. On top of that, I moved into town not very long ago, so I haven't met many Toons yet. I hope to get to know more Toons around the town over time, and I know this Blog is one big step towards that goal. When Robyn asked me if I wanted to be her Editor, I was ecstatic. I'd always wanted to go into journalism somehow and I finally got my shot, sort of. I may not be the main writer, but I do intend to put my own spin into Robyn's own posts whenever necessary or possible.
Now that introductions are out of the way, on to the real reason I'm here on the Blog today. For this week's post I thought we would do something special and show off some of the thoughts, comments and questions we've received in the last few days from you Toons, our readers. There have been a surprising amount of comments and thoughts so far, and I would really love to share them all. Rather unfortunately however, I am unable fit them all in this post. Maybe I'll do a Part 2 in the future, should you all wish to see one.
And now, without further adoing, here we go!

Ahh, fishing. One of the activities you can do here in Toontown. Actually, it's currently the only activity you CAN do in this town. Yeah... I know. Expansion progress is surprisingly pretty slow. Even more surprisingly, especially for this all-city girl here, is that fishing is actually kind of fun! You locals are probably rolling your eyes at me, thinking of course it's fun, silly! I understand. But back where I come from, fishing is a rare sight as there's hardly any time to do it. It's always a hectic dash to and from errands every day. Here in Toontown things are more chill and relaxed, so I've had time to actually do some fishing and learn more about it. For others who are new to the whole thing like me, rest assured, I've gotten some inside information and developed this little guide for you so that you can start fishing the expert way right off the bat!

Something peculiar is going on around here this morning. I cannot find Robyn anywhere. She was supposed to come in last night to finish writing this week's post and leave it for me to edit and publish by Wednesday the 3rd, but, alas, there is nothing here! The front door was slightly ajar, so it does seem like someone came in here at some point, but I have no idea who or what or even when. The post she was supposed to finish is not finished and she is nowhere to be found.

Hi everyone! Happy April Fools! No, I'm not late at all. See, back home I used to have a yearly tradition of pranking my neighbors for April Fools. It was a yearly thing, and it was so much fun. This year I thought I'd change it up a bit... and NOT actually prank somebody. You know, new town, new start. Turning over a new leaf. I had every intention of meeting sticking to it... that is, until I ran into this nifty little device two days ago called The Invisinator, made by local resident Andy Ardly. He claims to be some scientific genius, and I certainly believe it because as soon as I activated his device, it immediately turned me completely invisible. I was gone. Vanished. Poofed. I was completely unable to be seen by the naked eye. Andy seemed pretty surprised and amazed that it'd worked and wanted me to stay for some more tests. However, I had other, much more fun plans.

Okay, so you know how last week I said Fanny would be alright? Well, um, it turns out she may not be. After attempting to find her in vain, I hunted down Andy Ardly again and explained the situation to him.
He immediately freaked out.

Greetings, Toons! It is I, Fanny Pages! I am back once again! Whew, let me tell you, I have had the craziest week ever. One moment I was frantically searching for Robyn, the next I was whisked away to a barren land never before seen by any Toon, ever. Or so the scientists tell me. Allow me to explain. Or try to. I'm still a bit confused by the whole thing.
Posted by Professor Prepostera on 4/26/2002 at 6:26 PM
Hello there, Toons! You most likely don't know me, so allow me to properly introduce myself. My name is Professor Prepostera, one of the scientists at the recently-founded science facility, Loony Labs. I was asked by the Toon Council to write this post today due to my thesis written to get into the labs, and how it actually came into play recently- a study on "The Grey."

Hello, everyone! We are back and ready to roll again!
I'm really sorry for our hiatus; things were a bit hectic after that accidental fiasco last month and Fanny and I really needed to cool off a bit. Her in particular; she wasn't exactly happy with me after that, let me tell you. Eventually we talked about it, and I think she's almost fully forgiven me now.
Anyway, to celebrate our return I'd like to start off the blog again with something a little bit different. Rather than bring you news from around the town as I'd been doing before, I'd like to bring you news about certain outstanding Toons from around the town as well. So, welcome to the very first Toony Spotlight, a brand new segment on this blog where I, Robyn Rasmoussen, highlight those outstanding Toons and commend them for the things they do. I believe in appreciating people when they do something amazing, and Toony Spotlight will be my way of doing that. And now, with that out of the way, here's the first subject of Toony Spotlight: meet Little Jenny Hulaswirl!
Posted by Robyn Rasmoussen on 5/23/2002 at 2:00 PM
Last week I posted the very first Toony Spotlight and you guys seemed to find that a hit! A strong way to make a comeback it seems!
I thought I'd piggyback off of that success and make a second Toony Spotlight, this time on my Editor-in-Chief, Fanny Pages. Yeah I know, two in as many weeks, huh? How exciting!

I've received amazing news from the Toon Council!! For the first time in a while, they're looking into expanding the town! They want to make it bigger, better and more fun! The first of these steps has already been taken; thanks to the head of the newly formed Loony Labs, the Town Expansion Project has already begun... in the form of constructing brand new areas, or neighborhoods for us to explore and live in!
Most of you have already seen some of the construction around the town (and I briefly mentioned it earlier this month, too). So that's not really news to most. No, that's not what I'm here to report on today. I have different news that's very similar.

Helloooo Toons of Toontown!
Today's an exciting day! It's the day we introduce more new Toons into the town!
How many, exactly? The first ten in a while! "Only ten?" I hear you asking. Only ten, for now. For the next few months, ten new Toons each month will be allowed to move into town!
That means more population growth, steadily!
I'm really excited!
Let's go say hello to our first group, shall we?
Posted by Tammy the Tailor on 6/20/2002 at 2:00 PM
Good afternoon, Toons of Toontown! You guys don't know me yet- my name is Tammy. Back home I loved making my own clothes based on designer clothes and custom-fitting them for Toons who wanted them. I also took requests and made custom clothing for anyone that asked (and paid well). I was a tailor in all but the name and shop pretty much, for I worked out of my own home. Unfortunately the cost of living went up, and my sales went down as larger design stores opened up that took my clients. When I heard that Toontown, a brand new and fresh town, was accepting new Toons, I immediately jumped at the chance and applied. Luckily for me I was one of the first ten new toons accepted to join this town. Robyn Rasmoussen's welcome was a lovely surprise, and I must say, it was much appreciated!
I'll bet you're wondering: "okay, neat, but what brings you to post on this blog? It's supposed to be a news blog."
I hear ya! That's why I'm proud and excited to announce some really amazing news: I've opened up a brand new tailor shop in the Toontown Central Playground!

Hellooo Toontown! Today I have some really exciting news (then again, it's pretty rare that I don't)! Word on the Lane is a few folks over at the newly formed Loony Labs have been hard at work on a couple of inventions that will make our town better! They have tons of cool things planned, apparently, thanks to some monkey with "brilliant ideas" from what I hear. The first of these is something they call The Trolley.

Ahh, Independence Day. Or as it's known abroad... July 4th. Today is a major national holiday, as I'm sure most of my readers know.
Around the country many Toons of all kinds are celebrating this day in many ways. Some are hosting outdoor barbecues. Others are going to public parks. And some are even using fireworks!
Posted by Robyn Rasmoussen on 7/11/2002 at 2:00 PM
So I've been doing some polling recently, and it turns out, Toons don't enjoy playing The Maze Game endlessly for the rest of their lives. Who knew?! The Maze Game is pretty fun, I don't see an issue with playing it for hours on end. Regardless, I've passed on your feedback to the Toon Council and their marketing team got back to me that, apparently, the Cannon Game and Toon Tag are considered "in" right now. Maybe it works for other towns (they tell me they've been a hit over at Pawnada Hills, our next closest town) but this is Toontown. We do things differently here. Sooo... I came up with something much better: combining both those hits into one and creating a brand new hit: Cannon Tag!
Posted by Robyn Rasmoussen on 7/18/02 at 2:00 PM
Apparently, last week's Trolley Update was an immediate hit with the town. So much so, the Toon Council has started racing to come up with some more games quickly so that Toons' enjoyment and interest in the town grows.
Speaking of racing, I've been doing some racing on my own.

WEE-WOO-WEE-WOO-WEE-WOOO
Halt! Stop right there!
WEE-WOO-WEE-WOO-WEE-WOOO
Sorry guys, no time to talk today! I don't want to say I'm in trouble... but, well, I'm in trouble. Why? Uh, well, I might have stolen an entire ice rink.
